Electricity 2
Like the name implies, in this 8-hour class we take the basics a little further and discuss things like resistance,
current, and voltage in series and parallel circuits. We talk of thing like "voltage drop" and "power loss."
We explore, just a little, things that occur in A-C circuits. That leads us to the basics of inductors, capacitors, and
phase angles. Then we go into power factor. We touch a little on portable meters. There's hands-on work in the
class with testers, VOMs, and DMMs, but only on 6-volt DC circuits.
This is a fun class that further explores the workings of this thing we call "electricity." You don't have to be an
electrician to gain from this class.
This isn't a terribly hard class and is designed for just about anyone who has a good grasp of the fundamentals of
electricity. This is a good class for apprentices, maintenance personnel, customer service representatives, and
anyone else who needs a good understanding of this thing we call "electricity."
There is a maximum
enrollment in Electricity
2 of 15.
