Basic Electrical Power Distribution is not for the veteran utility worker or electrician.  This is more a "show-and-tell"
class than a lecture.  But it is fun, informative, and very valuable to those who don't know much about their systems --
any electrical system -- and need to be.  We can stay as basic or get as detailed and specific as the class demands.
Basic Electrical Power Distribution is normally an 8-hour presentation, but it can be made to fit your schedule or
timetable.

Basic Electrical Power Distribution
This class is a logical "next one" after Basic Electricity and Electricity 2, although it certainly can be a stand-alone
presentation.
Here we illustrate and discuss the reasons we have generators and a little about how they work. Next we turn our
attention to why we have transmission lines and their related systems.  Then we discuss substations and finally
distribution systems.
We look at photos, diagrams, and illustrations of different elements of your electrical system and discuss why and
how each are utilized.  We go on a field trip
(but get no closer than any unqualified person is allowed) to look at the
obvious parts of your system.
We use a lot of equipment in this class -- insulators, arrestors, switches, fuses, cable, etc., that participants can touch
and handle.  Then we relate the materials and their application back to the system.
The maximum number
of participants for
Basic
Electrical Power
Distribution
is 20.
